What we offer

A cosy retreat within a rural farming hamlet. The cottage is in the ideal location for a peaceful getaway and for exploring the attractions of the Peaks.

The Interior

The bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms are on one level facing the front. To the left of the entrance porch is the twin bedroom, to the right is the kitchen and a utility room also leads from the porch.

The kitchen is well-equipped for family dining including dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker and induction hob. As well as a breakfast table and seating there are armchairs where guests can use the wall-mounted t.v. or choose from a selection of fiction and information books.

We have refurbished the bathroom to include a corner shower and bath.

The cosy master bedroom with double bed is next to the bathroom and affords space for a travel cot as well as ample storage for your belongings.

Our new extension (2021) is a fabulous space at the rear of the cottage for dining and relaxing with your family and friends. Five stone steps lead up to the new living area.  We hope thoughtfully chosen, quality furniture, bespoke fittings and a Smart T.V. with a new EE Hub for high-speed Broadband will make for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Underfloor heating and a wood burning stove make this a warm, cosy room and when the sun is shining it can be enjoyed all day and into the evening.  Patio doors lead to an enclosed garden, a real sun-trap in the summer, which we will be developing this year. There are lots of games to choose from, books, maps and guides of the area for planning your activities.

The Garden

Stunning views can be enjoyed towards MamTor from the decking area in the attractive gardens at the front of the cottage and an enclosed garden to the rear provides a sun-trap when the weather is favourable. A charcoal barbeque can be used in either garden for relaxed dining.

We are a dog friendly cottage (please see Terms & Conditions).
