Smashing location in the heart of the peaks but still quiet and secluded. Great cottage with everything we needed, lovely wood burner just what we wanted at the end of a day walking.

A great little place with everything you could wish for. Lovely views which you could look at all day. Lots of good walks close by.

Lovely situation with stunning views of the Peaks. The house was clean & very cosy, especially with the fire lite. The games room was a big hit with the kids and provided family entertainment in the evening. We had a lovely walk into Tideswell for tea & cake! Perfect 2 day get away.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Location is excellent – stunning views out the window and a very peaceful spot. Loved the fire place, and always nice to have the kitchen and dining table in the same space. Everything super clean, and good guidance on rules to follow regarding Covid-cleanliness.

Amazing Views! We had a lovely 4 night stay & the cottage was clean, tidy, cozy & well equipped with everything you need. The views are spectacular & can be enjoyed from every room. The garden is very pretty with a decking area where you can sit & enjoy the views & watch the birds on the feeders. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at the Potters Shed for a friend’s birthday. The cottage had several really sweet touches that made us all feel like we were right at home. Fiona was really helpful and suggested several really lovely walks in the area that the dogs thoroughly enjoyed. The Potting Shed was clean, warm, and cozy — I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful little spot to others.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Peaceful and perfect place to relax after a hectic wedding at nearby Hargate Hall. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you.

The view was amazing…….the garden was lovely….. the birds were singing. The cottage was great. Comfy beds and great decor. The coffee, tea and biscuits was a lovely homely gesture. It was a perfect location for the wedding we attended at Hargate Hall….. no car was needed! We would love to come again and already have recommended it to friends. Thank you Fiona and to your cousins too for making us welcome.

My friends , their two dogs and I had a lovely holiday in the Peak District with the comfortable and well equipped Potting Shed as our base . If it’s beautiful scenery your after this is the place to be with the rolling hills stretching into the distance as far the eye can see , all viewable from every window of this exellent location ! Classic Peak District venues all just a short drive away and a wood burning fire to cozy up to in the evening .

We had a lovely 3 night stay as we were in the area for a wedding. The cottage has everything we needed for 4 adults and a 5 week old. The views are stunning and can be observed from every room and although the weather didn’t allow it there is an outdoor table to further enjoy the scenery. Everywhere clean and tidy and the beds are comfortable. Special thanks to Fiona and Tony for organising delivery of some items that we left behind.

Superb well equipped cottage with wonderful views (between the rain showers). Very clean. Nice touch to include bird food for the bird feeders. Very helpful and friendly housekeepers living next door. It was an enjoyable stay and good base to visit the Chatsworth Flower Show.

Lovely short stay, the cottage had everything we needed. Was lovely and warm with a very comfy bed. Beautiful views and late evening stroll round the old estate with our dogs. Dog friendly, tiled floor that was easy to keep clean.

Amazing and very cozy indeed. It was a wonderful stay and a fantastic birthday for our 3 year old. Would highly recommend the place. There are a few bees around the front garden, but unless you bother them, they wont bother you. Buxton is very easily accessible and there is so much to do there as a family.

Just got back from the Potting Shed for a wedding at the Hall. The shed id nothing like a shed. Its a beautiful cottage. The double bed was so very comfy. There’s everything you need washer/dryer for those damp Summer days Fridge microwave cooker and dishwasher. The bunks were comfy and suitable for adult or child. There are plans to make the link to the Hall easier as that was the only negative I can give there is no easy walk through its a walk around the quiet country roads. Watching the stars with no light pollution was amazing. Would highly recommend and will be going back.

We had a wonderful stay in this cosy cottage with amazing views from the garden. With good weather the cottage was perfect for our family with 1 and 3 year old. Visited Peveril castle and walked a part of the Monsal trail, both a great success.

We stayed in the cottage for 4 nights with our 8 month old baby and little jack russell terrier. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and attention to details such as fresh flowers in the rooms, showergels, bath foam, hand wash, tissues etc. It is a small cottage but it was exactly what we needed and made for a comfortable stay with our baby and dog! Good place to stay to get away from it all! Pity the weather wasn’t good enough to use the bbq facilities on the lovely deck!
